DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris said about 90 percent of the items stolen in a series of burglaries reported Thursday in Fyffe, Geraldine and Hammonds Crossroads have been recovered.

In a news release, Harris thanked third-shift deputies “for getting this case to where it is today.”

He also thanked county residents for calling in suspicious activity.

Three men were arrested Thursday on charges of breaking into vehicles in the communities.

James Joshua Thomas, 35 of Horton; Anthony Ray Thomas, 32 of Horton; and Tyler Nathaniel Harvey, 24 of Albertville, were each arrested.

There are additional charges pending.
