Ooltewah High School’s athletic field has been vandalized by a vehicle, according to a news release from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.

The HCSO arrived at the scene on Monday to find damage on the field that appears to be caused by a subject driving on it.

The estimated cost of the damage is not currently known, but Lee McDade, the assistant superintendent for the Hamilton County Department of Education, said it’s very minor.

“A car got on the field and did some spinouts there, very minor damage,” McDade said. “Just the fact that they got on the field, we wanted to go ahead and make a report about it.”

Anyone with any information regarding the incident is encouraged to contact the HCSO at 423-622-0022. Citizens may also leave an anonymous tip online by visiting the HCSO website at http://www.hcsheriff.gov/tip_center.php.
