How should we handle millions of illegals who are in the United States? Some say the number is 12 million, while others estimate there are as many as 20 million!
Obviously, we are not keeping them out. Federal border authorities are not effectively dealing with the problem. Partial “fences” aren’t working.
Why do illegals come? Most want jobs, to better their economic situations. We feel sorry for them. But we can’t reasonably just ignore their massive invasion.
All who come without proper papers are violating the law. Some engage in drug and other crimes. Many take jobs that unemployed Americans need.
The only effective way to handle such a big problem is to deny jobs to illegals. That puts a burden on employers to demand citizenship IDs to get work.
We are being flooded with millions of illegals, and our present enforcement methods are inadequate.
