Because of the forecast for inclement weather, all athletic events in Hamilton County have been postponed for Friday. That includes schools within the county who were scheduled to play games outside the county.

Make-up dates for those games will be determined by the head coaches of each individual team.

“With the forecast we’re looking at, we went ahead and made the decision to just cancel all games for Friday,” said Lee McDade, assistant superintendent of Hamilton County schools.

McDade added that while there is no decision on games scheduled for Saturday, it is most likely that those will also be postponed because of weather.

“We’ll wait until (Friday) to make that decision,” McDade said. “But the weather is looking very iffy right now.”
