Chattanooga police have arrested the driver in a Wednesday hit-and-run at 2100 Milne Street that seriously injured a three-year-old child.

Jeffrey Robinson, 57, is charged with leaving the scene of a crash with injuries, failure to render aid, failure to report a crash and driving on revoked license for DUI.

Traffic investigators located the suspect thanks to video and a tip received from a community member who asked to remain anonymous. The tipster stated to police they saw the information about the hit-and-run on local television news and recognized the vehicle.

The 3-year-old child that was struck suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Robinson is in custody at the Hamilton County Jail.
