Allen appreciates DRC efforts

On May 10th, the Signal Mountain Design Review Commission (DRC) held an open house at Town Hall to present its recommendations for a more user-friendly sign ordinance. Their recommended ordinance contains clearer definitions and has eliminated contradictory language. It also provides pictures, schematics and a simplified application process for those applying for signage for a new business.
I’d like to thank the seven volunteers on the DRC: Karen Rennich, Jeremy Rardin, Claire Griesinger, Karna Levitt, Jay Caughman, Ed Garbee and Rusty Sewell and the Council’s DRC liaison, Susan Robertson, for their many hours of hard work and congratulate them on a job well done.
