Americans should always be concerned – and well informed – when U.S. military forces are engaged in attacks anywhere.
But do you know why a U.S. air attack was made on a police station in Yemen on Thursday? Do most Americans even know where Yemen is?
Well, Yemen is an Arab country on the southern coast of the Arabian Peninsula, below Saudi Arabia and across the Red Sea from Africa.
Why a U.S. attack there?
We are told the airstrike was on a Yemeni police station that had been overrun by Islamic militants. At least six of the occupiers were killed, with some others possibly being wounded.
