A 23-year-old man died today from injuries sustained in a traffic crash 11 days ago.
Brian Copeland had been under care at Erlanger hospital since the May 15 crash, according to a Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office release.
His death makes 11 traffic fatalities investigated by the sheriff’s office so far this year.
Investigators determined Mr. Copeland lost control of a truck he was driving east on Retro Hughes Road. The truck left the roadway, plunged down a ravine and struck a tree.
When emergency workers arrived, they found passenger Billie Jo Littleton lying outside the vehicle, but Mr. Copeland had to be extricated from the truck by Sale Creek Fire Rescue workers, according to the release.
Both occupants were transported to the hospital and Ms. Littleton was treated and released.
