Cristian Pache’s first home run of the season resulted in a two-run drive to left field that propelled the Mississippi Braves to a 3-2 victory Wednesday night over the Chattanooga Lookouts at AT&T Field.

An announced crowd of 3,462 watched the Braves clinch the series with two games to spare.

The Lookouts took a 1-0 lead in the third inning when Jose Siri stole home, but Pache’s blast put Mississippi ahead to stay. Daniel Lockhart homered to right in the seventh inning to give the Braves (6-5) their largest lead at 3-1, but Taylor Trammell’s third homer of the season in the eighth pulled the Lookouts (4-7) within one.

Touted Atlanta pitching prospect Ian Anderson allowed three hits and one run to lower his ERA to 2.08, but he did not work five full innings and has yet to record a decision through three starts.

The fourth contest of the five-game series is set for 7:15 p.m. Thursday, with neither team having announced its starting pitcher.
