Like his close friend and secondary mate Cameron Montgomery from Jones High School in Orlando, Fla., Clim Robbins has committed to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga after visiting last weekend.
Robbins, a 5-foot-8, 160-pound cornerback rated a two-star prospect by both Rivals.com and Scout.com, said he and Montgomery, who committed Sunday, wanted to keep playing together.
“We’ve been talking about it since the ninth grade,” Robbins said. “The [UTC] coaches showed me much love when I was down there and made me feel like I was at home.”
Robbins made 51 tackles this past season and had three interceptions. He also rushed for 256 yards and caught 17 passes for 402 yards.
He was scheduled to visit Georgia Southern this weekend but called it off after informing Mocs defensive coordinator Adam Fuller on Monday that UTC was where he wanted to play.
Five of the 19 players committed to UTC are from Florida. National signing day is a week from today.
