A body was found floating in the lake at Al Rollins Park in Dalton, Ga., Friday morning.
The Dalton Police Department said a passerby made the discovery around 7:30 a.m.
Investigators pulled the body out of the lake and determined the deceased to be a Hispanic male. Dalton Police Department spokesman Bruce Frazier said Friday afternoon that investigators had a strong lead on the identity of the man and would be releasing a name once a positive identification had been made and next of kin notified.
Frazier said there were no signs of obvious injuries on the body, and there were no signs of struggle or foul play at the scene.
The body has been sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab for an autopsy.
