An argument between a woman and her boyfriend is what led to a 9-year-old boy being shot early Tuesday, according to Hamilton County Court records.
Genesis Suggs, 34, and Deisman Harrison, 31, face multiple charged in connection to the incident.
Suggs took a boy to a local hospital just before 1 a.m. with a gunshot wound to the face, court records state. Police were called and she told them the boy had been shot while they were at a party on Taylor Street. A specific address wasn’t listed, but she later showed police the exact house in which she claimed the party took place.
She told police the boy was in front of the house when he was shot in the jaw.
But “through a series of interviews, it was determined Ms. Suggs had made numerous false statements to police,” court records state. ” Significant police resources were unnecessarily expended in an attempt to locate a crime scene.”
