Unemployment down in metro Chattanooga

Chattanooga’s jobless rate fell during February from its recession high reached at the start of the year, the state labor agency said today.

Chattanooga’s jobless rate remained below the statewide average of 10.2 percent but was higher than the comparable U.S. jobless rate for February of 8.9 percent, the department said.
