* An auction involving Chattanooga’s LPGA Tour golfer, Brooke Pancake, and Waffle House restaurants to benefit Siskin Children’s Institute begins this morning. Up for bid are Pancake’s Waffle House-themed bags from last year and a round of golf with her for the winner and two guests. The winning bids at www.charitybuzz.com/wafflehouse will be determined on Feb. 16. “We are looking forward to the second year of our partnership with Brooke,” Waffle House president and CEO Walt Ehmer said in a release, praising “the energy she brings to her game and the desire she has to help others.” Pancake said she was aware of the institute’s “amazing love, care and support (for) special-needs children and their families” as she grew up, and she reconnected with the facility through another of her sponsors, PlayCore of Chattanooga. “I have such a passion for kids and feel so blessed to have a platform through golf to bring recognition to the great things Siskin is doing,” she said.
