The Brainerd community welcomes everyone to come out and Celebrate the Arts in the Olde Towne Brainerd business district on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The celebration will take place near the McCallie tunnels on Brainerd Road and there will be lots of activities in the park for children, including storytime, a stage and entertainment, music, artists and food. Representatives from Chattanooga will be on hand to discuss city services.
There will be an area for participants to build “scrap art,” so anyone with old jewelry, milk jugs, wrapping paper, ribbon, old sunglasses, anything that you don’t want, is asked to leave these “treasures” at Olde Towne Bookstore before Saturday or, on Saturday, bring them to the event. For additional information, call 595-4468.
