A tractor trailer crash on Bonny Oaks Drive Tuesday morning caused a second vehicle to become entrapped underneath the trailer, according to a release from the Chattanooga Police Department.
A Peterbilt tractor trailer, driven by Jasur N Khudiyarov, 29, attempted to turn around in the entrance of the Air National Guard just after 1 a.m. in heavy fog when it was hit by a Chrysler 200, driven by Patrick B Sims Jr., 31, traveling west.
The Chrysler went underneath the rear section of the trailer and made contact with the axles, causing all occupants to become entrapped.
The Chattanooga Fire Department was able to free all occupants, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries except for one juvenile passenger, who suffered serious life-threatening injuries.
Members of the Chattanooga Police Traffic Division are currently investigating the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call 423-698-2525.
