There are now seven candidates vying to fill the District 3 commission seat vacated by Jim Coppinger, and it’s only the second day of a five-day application period.
The new candidates are David Howell and Micheal Baskette. They join candidates Laurie Shipley, Randall “Randy” Price, Russell Collins, Mitch McClure and George Patten.
Coppinger left the District 3 seat when he was appointed county mayor.
