Good morning, Chattanooga!
Tomorrow is primary election day.
If you scroll back on my Facebook to 2016, you’ll find a photo of me and my parents holding up voting stickers. I had just turned 18 a few months prior to those primaries and voting together as a family has been a bit of a tradition ever since.
This year will be my first year voting as a Tennessee resident (and since I procrastinated, you just might run into me at the polls tomorrow before work.)
From the District Attorney’s Office to the county mayor, there are a number of races to cast a vote in, depending on whether you decide on a Republican, Democratic or general ballot.
This year, early voting more than doubled compared with the last Hamilton County primary election.
But if you’ve procrastinated like me, before you go, check out our voter guide for everything to know.
Now for some recent stories:
RAISING FUNDS: The Soddy-Daisy Community Library is raising funds to expand into a larger space.
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: Here are this week’s upcoming road closures, construction and detours in the Chattanooga area.
FREE HEALTH CHECKS: Free mammograms will be offered this week to kick off National Women’s Health Week.
