Man sentenced for student sex
A former public schoolteacher and coach in Martin, Tenn., has been sentenced to five years in prison on his guilty plea to having sex with a student.
Stanley Wren Vickers was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Bernice Donald in Memphis on Tuesday to 77 months in prison and 35 years of supervision after his release.

This week they are set to visit Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, Stones River National Battlefield in Murfreesboro, Fort Donelson National Battlefield near Clarksville and Fort Pillow State Historic Site and Shiloh National Battlefield, both in West Tennessee.
Professor Dr. Aaron Astor says Tennessee was the epicenter of the war, serving as a gateway to the deep South and a barrier between border state Kentucky and the rest of the Confederacy.
