* Name: Sunny Burden, 23

* Job title: Head baker

* Location: Whipped Cupcakes

* First job: Working in a skateboard shop

* Favorite part of job: “My favorite part would probably be that I get to be very inventive and that I get to work with the best quality ingredients, local and organic.” She said she is most proud of the peanut butter cupcake, which sells out every day. Her most recent creation is a salted caramel cupcake. “It was a big hit.”

* Worst part of job: “I do not have any complaints,” she said. “I really have the best job. I am very pleased with it.” The biggest challenge, she said, is filling last-minute orders. And while some would worry about gaining weight from working around so many delicious treats, she said it is not a worry for her. “I ate so many cupcakes in the beginning, I could not eat one now.”

* Special rewards: “I get so many compliments. That is so refreshing every time I hear one. It makes me proud of our shop and our cupcakes and our ingredients.”

* Best advice: “To have a successful business, you really have to care about what you’re doing. You can’t cut corners. You have to think and feel about what you’re doing. I know that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life.”

* Making a career of it: “You really just have to get in there, don’t give up,” she said. “Be consistent.” She did not go to culinary school, but worked as an apprentice for a pastry chef. She’s been a baking enthusiast all her life. “My whole life I’ve been in the kitchen with my mom. I’ve always leaned toward desserts and sweets.”
