Santa Claus is coming to town a little early this year, to pose for free photos with children, pets or anyone else interested.
Santa and the staff of Ooltewah Nursery and Landscape Company invite anyone with a camera to come prop up in an oversized Adirondack chair with St. Nick between 1 and 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, and take photos.
“It’s for babies or fur-babies,” marketing director Angel Miller said of the free community opportunity. “It’s new for us, and we’re pretty excited about it.”
Those who can’t make it to see Santa but are still looking to get into the holiday spirit have plenty of opportunities to do so at the Christmas Farmers Market each Thursday through the end of December, she added.
Though the monthslong drought impacted the availability of crops from many of the farmers the nursery buys from, additional products that make great gifts will be available each week from 3-5 p.m., said Miller. For example, there will be handcrafted wooden cutting boards, crocheted items, goats milk soap and lotion, jewelry boxes and home-grown loofah sponges.
