On pages 39-41 of a new legal filing, which is part of lawsuit filed by eight women against the University of Tennessee, details are released describing how former UT and current University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football player Drae Bowles was twice assaulted by UT teammates and told by Volunteers head coach Butch Jones that he “betrayed the team” after helping an alleged sexual assault victim.
Bowles gave his account of the events in a sworn statement filed in federal court in Nashville, where he acknowledged he might be called as a witness and is willing to testify.
