Authorities in Coffee County, Tenn., are seeking a suspect and his vehicle in a theft investigation involving a stolen cattle trailer, a stolen “dump” trailer and stolen trailer tires and wheels in three possibly related incidents.
An unidentified man is believed to be involved in the April 6 theft of a “red dump dual-axle trailer” from a Woodbury Highway address in Manchester, Coffee County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lucky Knott said in a statement. The same day, someone took the tires and wheels from a cattle trailer at another, unspecified location, Knott said.
“An older model dark gray Ford flatbed truck was seen leaving the area driving towards Cannon County,” Knott said. The trailer was valued at $4,500.
In the statement, Knott included a photo of a possible suspect along with photos of a truck the person was thought to have been driving and a dump trailer that was stolen.
In another case, a utility trailer was taken from another unspecified Manchester location, and authorities are looking at a similar theft in Warren County to see if it’s connected, Knott said.
Knott said it was possible that the thief or thieves are from Grundy County.
Anyone with information related to any of these cases or anyone who can identify the person, truck or trailer in the photos should contact the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office at 931-570-4404.
