Creekside complex sold for $10.7 million
An East Brainerd independent living, retirement complex has been sold as part of a larger $1.58 billion purchase of 86 retirement homes by a Toledo, Ohio-based real estate investment trust.
Creekside at Shallowford, a three-story senior living complex built in 1998 and operated by Holiday Retirement, was sold this month for $10.7 million, according to filings with the Hamilton County Register of Deeds. Holiday spokesman Bill Todd said the building sale will not change the management or operations of Creekside.
“Holiday will continue to manage the building just as it currently does,” Todd said. “This is simply a real estate transaction.”
Welltower Inc., one of the world’s largest healthcare real estate investment trusts, bought Creekside and 85 other properties that Holiday owned and self-managed under a $1.58 billion deal announced in June.
