The Bradley County Commission this morning voted 10-4 to create an emergency services merger implementation task force with the city of Cleveland.
The agreement, approved earlier by Cleveland officials, sets a May 25 deadline for the task force to make merger recommendations to both the city and county.
The plan is to merge the Bradley County Fire and Rescue Department, the county’s emergency medical service and the Cleveland Fire Department.
