A 24-year-old California man arrested last Friday after trying to gain access to the Y-12 National Security Complex and Oak Ridge National Laboratory, was arrested again Wednesday – reportedly on the same charge of driving on a suspended or revoked license.
An Oak Ridge police officer Wednesday evening confirmed that Rishi Chatterjee Malakar had been arrested but said he could not release details.
A deputy at the Anderson County Detention Center in Clinton confirmed that Malakar was released from jail Tuesday at about 9 p.m. after posting $1,000 bond. The records indicated that he was booked into the facility again on Wednesday at about 3:45 p.m., and the deputy said the charge was driving on a suspended or revoked license. No information on bond was immediately available, she said.
