MADISONVILLE, Tenn. – Emergency crews responded to a reported car fire Saturday night, only to find a body in the vehicle’s trunk after the blaze extinguished, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department.
The vehicle was fully engulfed in flames when a Monroe County sheriff’s deputy happened upon the scene along Sands Road in the Christianburg community at approximately 8 p.m. The Christianburg Volunteer Fire Department responded.
