A fire at Spring Creek Elementary School forced classes to be canceled today and tomorrow.
The blaze, which started around 4 a.m., was contained to the boiler room but utilities to the building were damaged, leaving the school without power, heat and other necessities to have school, according to a news release from the Hamilton County Department of Education.
Workers are on site and plan to have the school open again on Monday after the Thanksgiving holiday.
