2 charged in Kangaroo robbery

Two have been arrested following an armed robbery Friday morning of a Dayton Pike convenience store.

Heather E. Harwell, 32, and Ronald Horner, 28, are charged with aggravated robbery and criminal conspiracy to commit robbery.

According to a news release, Hamilton County sheriff’s deputies were called at 4:46 a.m. to a robbery at the Kangaroo gas station at 13424 Dayton Pike near the Highway 153 entrance to Corridor J. Clerks told deputies a masked robber entered the store displaying a weapon and demanding money and cigarettes.

Deputies got a description of the robber and a vehicle, and the information was given to patrol vehicles in the area.

Soon, deputies stopped a vehicle in the 7000 block of Dayton Boulevard. They recognized Horne from the clerk’s description and found evidence linking the vehicle to the robbery, the release stated.
