Big (Fish) Trouble
According to an article in the Tennessean newspaper, four fishermen in Nashville recently found themselves in hot water after hauling in 420 white bass below the dam on Cheatham Lake. The state limit is 15 white bass per angler per day, putting the quartet at 360 fish over the legal limit. TWRA spokesman Doug Markham told the newspaper that the incident was likely “the most serious rod and reel poaching case that I’ve seen worked in Tennessee.” The TWRA confiscated the fishing gear of the four men and will likely ask a judge to revoke their fishing licenses for a year.
