The Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors has endorsed Sterling Jetton in the Republican primary for the office of Hamilton County Assessor of Property.

A news release stated the endorsement “is in recognition of our belief that Sterling Jetton is highly qualified for this position, and that his record of service to our community has proven worthy of selection by the voters.”

Jetton has worked in the assessor’s office for 27 years and had been lead real property appraiser during six reappraisals.

Also seeking the GOP nomination is Hamilton County Commissioner Marty Haynes.

The Republican primary will be held March 1 and early voting begins Feb. 10.
