Five reasons to bolt from GOP establishment
With reference to Megan McArdle’s Thursday Free Press commentary “5 Reasons Decent People May Want To Back Trump,” here are my (I consider myself a decent person) five reasons for not so much backing Trump but going against the GOP establishment:
1. G.H.W. Bush (read my lips: “no new taxes” gave us the Clintons)
2. Bob Dole (go along, get along, fear of The New York Times, loses election)
3. John McCain (maverick, Gang of Eight, says he would not criticize Obama because he was a good and decent man, loses election)
