Chattanooga-based mall developer CBL named ‘great place to work’

CBL Properties has achieved a Great Place to Work certification, according to the Chattanooga-based shopping center developer.

The designation is based on the results of a recently conducted survey of CBL’s current employees regarding their experience at CBL, the company said in a statement. According to CBL, 89% of employees said the company is “a great place to work,” and that’s 32 points higher than the average U.S. business.

Great Place to Work is the global entity that focuses on workplace culture, employee experience and leadership behaviors proven to deliver market-leading revenue, employee retention and increased innovation.

“Great Place to Work Certification isn’t something that comes easily — it takes ongoing dedication to the employee experiences,” said Sarah Lewis-Kulin, vice president of global recognition at Great Place to Work, in a statement.

Stephen D. Lebovitz, CBL’s chief executive officer, said that “the CBL team has enthusiastically endorsed all the efforts we undertake to create and perpetuate a great culture, so we are thrilled to become Great Place to Work certified.”
