Tennessee has moved into the top five of the football recruiting rankings for the 2025 signing cycle after receiving a commitment Sunday afternoon from four-star tight end Da’Saahn Brame.

The 6-foot-6, 235-pounder from Derby, Kansas, committed to Oregon on June 29 but changed his mind after taking an unofficial visit to Knoxville this weekend. Brame is the nation’s No. 5 tight end prospect and the No. 112 overall recruit, according to the 247Sports.com composite rankings.

“It didn’t feel right when I committed to Oregon,” Brame told 247Sports, “so, I mean, I kind of knew this is where I wanted to be.”

Brame, who amassed 46 receptions for 942 yards and 13 touchdowns last year as a Derby High School junior, is the second four-star tight end in Tennessee’s class of commitments. The Volunteers received a nonbinding pledge from Jack Van Dorselaer (6-5, 230) of Southlake, Texas, in early January.

Both of Brame’s parents were student-athletes at Kansas State, with Da’Von a defensive end for the Wildcats and Nicky Ramage-Brame a 6-1 forward in basketball. Ramage played in 119 career games, shooting 54.0% from the floor over her four seasons and averaging 13.6 points as a junior and 13.2 as a senior.
