Welcome to the table, Fare friends. We begin as always with requests, and they are broad.
Jeana Reidl wrote from a South Carolina celebration. “At Forest Lake’s Thanksgiving buffet they had Salmon Wellington. It seemed like the green inside it was spinach, but I only had a tiny bit and couldn’t tell for sure. I had never seen that before and would like a recipe, to see if I could try it at home.”
Once again, correspondents Kingfish and Champ stir up the cooking pot with their requests. Champ has been remembering “my mother’s homemade pimiento cheese. She never bought it. It’s different from the pimiento cheese you can buy today, and I wonder if it was made with Velveeta or American cheese.”
Might you supply your family’s old-fashioned pimiento cheese?
