Ripples, reactions

The NCAA has granted one-year waivers to all former junior college athletes as it plots its appeal to the Diego Pavia decision.

Pavia sued and got the courts to say junior college time does not count against athletic eligibility limits for NCAA athletics. Yes, the NCAA will appeal, but I don’t see a reversible leg to stand on.

The ripples are becoming clear, because while football gets the headline, this applies to all sports.

And there are some clear winners here, from the specific to the general.
