Even before the Chattanooga Lookouts started playing games in their final season at AT&T Field, team president Rich Mozingo was making trips to Erlanger Park at least once a week to check on the progress being made by EMJ Construction.

Each journey to the team’s future home continues to leave him in awe.

“I’m literally still blown away by the size of this thing,” Mozingo said Monday afternoon as he stood on the berm above left field and looked back at home plate with Lookout Mountain serving as the can’t-miss backdrop.

Mozingo has worked for several years on the roughly 7.25 acres that houses AT&T Field. He said that Erlanger Park will sit on 8.75 acres.

With it being mid-June, the Lookouts are approaching the midway mark of their 2025 season. Mozingo does not know the midway mark or what specific percent of Erlanger Park has been completed, but he encounters something new on every visit.
