The 2025 class of Chattanooga-area Eagle Scouts served their communities for a total of more than 7,000 hours.

Those hours went into 49 different projects, including new benches and a flag retirement box built by Hixson Scout Charles Gracey Jr. for the Chattanooga VET Center; an enrichment structure built by Hixson Scout Ryan Wilson for the Chattanooga Zoo’s chimpanzee exhibit; and Soddy-Daisy Scout Brock Beeler reconstructing a Raider course used by junior ROTC members at Soddy Daisy High School.

This year’s Eagle Scout class was the fifth in the history of the Cherokee Area Council to include female Scouts.

Scouts and the adults who volunteer their time to help mentor them were honored at a dinner earlier this month.
