Good Deed: Young supporter makes a big difference for Chattanooga Room in the Inn

Chattanooga Room in the Inn recently received a donation from a young supporter.

Six-year-old Finley Hoodenpyle decorated his own donation box and asked others to join him in supporting the organization, which provides transitional housing for women and children experiencing homelessness in the Chattanooga area.

Finley collected $738 in his box, which will fund support for women and children at Chattanooga Room in the Inn.

Because of Finley’s kindness and determination, families in the program will have warmth, stability and support when they need it most, the organization said. What might feel like spare change to some becomes food, shelter and hope for others.

Finley reminds us that you are never too small to make a big difference.
