About 3 million people in the United States stutter. With the passing of International Stuttering Awareness Day on Oct. 22, I hope we will give each of them something simple: the time to finish what they want to say.
My wife and I visited Chattanooga for the first time Oct. 2-7. Among other things, we were celebrating our 40th anniversary. Everything was wonderful. We exchanged stories about your fine city. After he left, we learned that he paid for our lunch and wished us a happy 40th. What an ambassador for your fine city. You should be proud of citizens like him. We'll never forget our first visit to Chattanooga.
