Veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford of the Los Angeles Rams beat out second-year pro Drake Maye of the New England Patriots, while Cleveland Browns edge rusher Myles Garrett and wide receivers Puka Nacua of the Rams and Jaxon Smith-Njigba of the Seattle Seahawks were unanimous choices in The Associated Press All-Pro honors for the NFL’s 2025 season.
This was the fourth year for the AP’s new voting system. A national panel of 50 members of the media chose a first team and a second team. First-team votes are worth three points, while second-team votes are worth one. Votes were tabulated by the accounting firm of Lutz and Carr.
Versatile running back Bijan Robinson was one of four players for the Atlanta Falcons who was selected, though he was the only first-teamer. Robinson, the No. 8 pick of the 2023 NFL draft, was also picked as the all-purpose player on offense for the second team, which also included Atlanta tight end Kyle Pitts, right guard Chris Lindstrom and safety Jessie Bates III.
It’s the first All-Pro recognition for Robinson. Lindstrom, a first-round draft pick in 2019, is an All-Pro second-team selection for the fourth year in a row. Bates, who began his NFL career with the Cincinnati Bengals from 2018-22, is a second-teamer for the third time after also being picked for the 2020 and 2023 seasons. Pitts, the No. 4 pick of the 2021 draft, was honored for the first time.
The Tennessee Titans had two All-Pro selections, each as a first-team member. Defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons, a first-round draft pick in 2019 who has spent his entire career in Nashville, is on the first team for the first time after making the second team in 2021 and 2022. Rookie receiver Chimere Dike, a fourth-round selection, was a special teams selection at punt returner.
Dike is the fourth rookie since 2020 to make the team.
“That’s awesome,” Dike said. “Everyone wants to be All-Pro one day and that’s one of the goals I set at the beginning of the season for my career and to be able to do that in my first year, I’m just thankful (special teams) coach (John Fassel) and my teammates had belief in me.”
The Falcons and the Titans both missed the playoffs and are searching for new head coaches after long runs of losing seasons.

San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey’s contributions as both a rusher and receiver led to his first-team selection at all-purpose player. McCaffrey and Robinson have trained together in the offseason.
Ja’Marr Chase of the Cincinati Bengals is the third wide receiver on the first-team offense, and Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride just missed being a unanimous selection after receiving 49 of 50 first-place votes.
Zach Allen joined Simmons in being selected as interior defensive linemen. Will Anderson Jr. of the Houston Texans and Micah Parsons of the Green Bay Packers joined Garrett at edge rusher.
“That’s great. Needed that for real. Look forward to trying to get back to that same status this offseason,” said Parsons, who had surgery to repair a torn ACL sustained in December, which ended his first season with the Packers after being traded in August by the Dallas Cowboys, for whom he was a three-time All-Pro from 2021-23 (the latter as a second-team pick).
The 37-year-old Stafford received 31 first-place votes to the 23-year-old Maye’s 18 to earn All-Pro recognition for the first time in his 17-year career. Buffalo Bills dual threat Josh Allen got the other vote at quarterback. Stafford was first in the NFL with 4,707 yards and 46 touchdowns passing. His passer rating of 109.2 was second only to Maye, who finished at 113.5. Maye passed for 4,394 yards and 31 touchdowns.
It could be a preview of NFL MVP voting, which — like the All-Pro team — is based solely on regular-season performance. Last year, Baltimore Ravens star Lamar Jackson was the All-Pro quarterback and Allen was the NFL MVP.
“That’s amazing,” Stafford said when he heard the news. “I did not see that coming. Played a lot of years. A lot of respect for this game. A lot of respect for the other guys who do what I do. It’s not an easy thing to do. It means a lot.”
Stafford is the second player ever to be named a first-team All-Pro for the first time in his 17th season or later, according to the Elias Sports Bureau. Kicker Gary Anderson also made it for the first time in his 17th season, in 1998 for the Minnesota Vikings. Before Stafford, the longest wait for a quarterback was Fran Tarkenton, who was an All-Pro for the first time in his 15th season in 1975 during his second stint with the Vikings.
The Denver Broncos, the AFC’s No. 1 seed, had four first-team players and two second-team honorees. Allen, left tackle Garrett Boles, left guard Quinn Meinerz and special teamer Devon Key made the first team. Cornerback Patrick Surtain II, last season’s NFL defensive player of the year, and safety Talanoa Hufanga made the second team.
Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Quinyon Mitchell and slot cornerback Cooper DeJean made the first-team roster in their second pro seasons. Houston’s Derek Stingley Jr. got 41 first-place votes to lead the voting at cornerback.
Kansas City Chiefs center Creed Humphrey, Chicago Bears left guard Joe Thuney and Detroit Lions right tackle Penei Sewell along with Meinerz are repeat selections.
Garrett, who broke the NFL’s single-season sack record with 23, is a seven-time All-Pro, with five of those first-team honors for the No. 1 pick of the 2017 draft. Parsons is a three-time first-teamer and once made the second team.
“That’s crazy,” Anderson said about joining Garrett and Parsons. “It means a lot. It’s such a blessing. I have to give credit to my guys. I wouldn’t be here without them.”
Baltimore’s Kyle Hamilton and Chicago’s Kevin Byard are the safeties. Detroit’s Jack Campbell and Jordyn Brooks of the Miami Dolphins are the linebackers.
San Francisco fullback Kyle Juszczyk rounded out the first-team offense.
Eighteen players are first-timers, including five on special teams.
Key, Vikings kicker Will Reichard, Ravens punter Jordan Stout, Bills kick returner Ray Davis and Tennessee’s Dike are the first-timers. Jacksonville Jaguars long snapper Ross Matiscik made it for the second time.
