A man has been charged with threatening to commit an act of mass violence, harassment and retaliation against a judge or officer after he allegedly made a series of aggressive calls to the Hamilton County 911 center.
Daniel Timblin, 50, called the dispatch center over 27 times starting just past 12 a.m. Tuesday and extending through the morning hours, according to a police report filed in the case. The calls began when Timblin requested help and escalated to Timblin making racial slurs, threatening call takers and making statements about District Attorney Coty Wamp and a judge, the report said.
The initial call led police to respond to Timblin’s house, where he did not answer the door. The following calls were so frequent that they disrupted the workflow of the dispatch center, the report said.
Timblin said during one of the calls that Wamp and the judges were going to have “problems come Monday,” according to the report, and the investigating officer discovered that Timblin had a hearing set for Monday.
That led the officer to believe that Timblin could be a real danger to officials and law enforcement officers he would encounter.
