Readers write: Rotary test and the Ten Commandments

The recent hoopla about exhibiting the Ten Commandments in schools prompts me to offer an alternative: the Rotary Club’s 4-Way Test. The Ten Commandments are 90% negative — “thou shalt nots” — but the Rotary test is 100% positive:

Is it the truth?

Is it fair to all concerned?

Will it build goodwill and better friendships?

Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
