Virgil Sperry, who served as the chairman of the Walker County Development Authority, died Thursday night.
He worked on projects such as bringing Audia Group and Labrie Enviroquip to Walker County, said county Sole Commissioner Bebe Heiskell.
“While we will miss our friend, the contributions he helped bring to our community will not be forgotten,” Heiskell wrote on her Facebook page. “Likewise, he was a wonderful businessman, father and husband. Please remember his family in prayers.”
