The Dollywood Company will be adding HeartSong Lodge & Resort in 2023 and will invest more than half a billion dollars over the next 10 years across its Pigeon Forge properties.
Dolly Parton, the East Tennessee icon who began developing Dollywood nearly four decades ago, said even after 36 years of dreaming, she’s not slowing down.
“I have to keep working at it, and I’m excited about it,” Parton told the Knoxville News Sentinel. “It keeps me alive; keeps me feeling young, whether I am or not. I don’t pay attention to the numbers. I just say, ‘What all can I do while I’m still around to make my life and other people’s life more enjoyable?'”
