Chattanooga artist Paulina CassidyName: Paulina Cassidy
Occupation: Artist, musician
Hometown: Guelph, Ontario, Canada
Paulina Cassidy has been creating original art for as long as she can remember, eventually turning her passion into a full-time career at her studio here in Chattanooga. Although Cassidy’s main focus is on dreaming up original works of art, her creative talents also branch out into music and dance. There’s no doubt that her works-in whatever medium she chooses-are all mysterious and otherworldly, which Cassidy says comes from her sensitivity to other dimensions and the mythical creatures most of us only read about in books.
Witchling Deck of Spells
This 40-card deck of spells was released this month through US Games Inc. and comes with an accompanying booklet of more than 150 spells which correspond with each card.”It’s for all ages and it’s very cute and uplifting,” says Paulina Cassidy, artist and creator of the deck. “For example, one of the cards is the Card of Strength. When you take the card, you can refer to the book and there are four different spells per card and you can pick one that resonates with you such as a candle spell. They’re pretty easy spells with household items and they are all for uplifting the spirit and creating happiness and strength and bettering the life.”For more info rmation, visit paulina.ws/witchlings.
