Chattanooga Boys Choir goes nuts with fundraiser

The Chattanooga Boys Choir is once again selling pecans and other nuts during its annual fundraiser. Selling pecans has been a choir tradition since 1960. In recent years, praline pecans, honey roasted peanuts, walnuts, mixed nuts and cashews have been added to the sale. Proceeds help fund operating expenses such as music and uniforms.

“The [sale] is a great way to support the choir and gear up for the holiday baking and gift-giving season,” said Dawn Oakes, the choir’s administrative director. “Many traditional holiday recipes include pecans and walnuts, and nuts make great last-minute hostess gifts for holiday parties and open houses. Mixed nuts, cashews and honey-roasted peanuts are perfect for fall football snacking.”
