The Friends of Collegedale Public Library are gearing up for the third annual Local Author Talks series beginning Sunday, Jan. 17.
The series, which the library hosts every other month, spotlights area residents and their published work.
“We’ve actually had some fairly well-known authors who have come through,” said library Director Joanne Stanfield. “We have so much to choose from, and that’s a good thing – it’s great, actually.”
The program is an opportunity both for local authors to feature their work as well as for residents to learn more about the writers in their community, she said.
“It’s free and open to the public, and always interesting. Some amazing stories have been shared,” said Stanfield, adding, “The Friends do a lot for the library and this is just one instance of that.”
