Hamilton County Commissioner Jim Fields this morning was elected vice chairman of the Hamilton County Commission, breaking another 4-4 tie vote on the vice chairmanship. Fields beat commissioner Chester Bankston, who, like Fields, was elected to the commission in the most recent county elections.
After the first vote produced a 5-3 vote – Commissioner Greg Beck abstained – the commission re-voted to show unanimous support for Fields.
