Cathy Howe is named executive director at Life Care Center of Cleveland, Tenn. Howe comes to Life Care Center of Cleveland from Life Care Center of Crossville, Tenn., where she was executive director for more than two years. She also served as executive director at Life Care Center of Waynesville, Missouri, and has been involved in senior care since she started volunteering at age 13.

Mike Bua joins Regions Bank and serves as branch manager for its Signal Mountain office. Previously, Bua served as financial center manager for Fifth Third Bank in Tampa, Florida. His experience also includes serving as treasurer for BNI in Tampa as well as being active in the Wesley Chapel Chamber of Commerce. Bua succeeds Allison Cross as branch manager of the Signal Mountain office. Cross was recently named mortgage loan officer for Regions.

Mark Hilling is the new director of operations for The Chattanooga Area Food Bank. Hilling is instrumental in ensuring the long-term strategies for warehousing, food distribution, transportation, inventory control, food purchasing and food resourcing align with the Food Bank’s end goal of achieving its 10-year strategic plan to double in size by 2025. As the former director of manufacturing and warehouse operations for Ferrara Candy (formerly Farley’s and Sathers Candy Co. and Brach’s Candy Co.), Hilling played a key role in developing and implementing the supply chain network through growth and acquisitions.

Chris Chilton is promoted to general manager of the Hampton Inn in Kimball, Tenn. Chilton joined Vision in Oct. 2014 and has since succeeded in the positions of guest service manager, operations manager and assistant general manager for the Hampton Inn in Chattanooga.

Karen Templeton is promoted to director of internal audit of BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee. Templeton is responsible for directing all internal audit activities including financial and operational audits, technology audits, quality assurance audits and external audit coordination services. Over the past 25 years, Templeton has held progressive leadership positions within the company’s corporate audit services division.
